The Gujarat state is one of the progressive states in India and this state is divided into 33 districts. Out of these 33 districts, in the 5 districts the population of schedule Tribe, schedule caste and other backward classes is significant. These districts are Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dang, Panchmahal and Dahod. In the Dahod district this is only one college which is providing education to the S.C., S.T. and other backward class students.

Dahod Anaj Mahajan Sarvajanik Education Society has established a landmark in developing this college to serve these backward class students and in all diversified area of education by providing all necessary infrastructure to the Science students. This college was established in the year 1973 as a “very special case”.

This college has provided talented, skilled students and students of high moral value that is quality assured students for the society & ultimately for the Nation.

I would like to emphasize at this juncture that the college has progressed by offering graduate, post graduate, Ph.D. and certificate courses. Well equipped laboratories and qualified faculty members have fulfilled the mission and vision along with the objectives laid down by the management.

The Self Study report is the result of consolidated efforts made by teaching, non teaching and management of the college. It is the practice of the college to provide best possible science education to the students and this is reflected in the results of the college. The college is always committed to provide relevant education to the students.

The self study report is divided into two parts as prescribed by the NAAC.

Part-I Institutional data detailing profile of the college, criterion wise Inputs and profile of the Departments.

Part-II The evaluative report, which covers Executive Summary, Criterion Wise evaluative report and evaluative reports of the Departments.

This re-accreditation process gives benefit to the students at significant level. And through this, college will be able to justify its claim being in service oriented college for backward area.

The management and each employee of the college has contributed whole heartedly in the preparation of this report.
